oh- one more thing- Israel took out the Iraqi nuclear site prior to Gulf war 1, so what's that got to do with anything? Intelligent conversations do not include one side calling any ideas outside of his box as idiotic. You have shown the true nature of your opinions- I'm right and anyone who disagrees with me is either wrong, an idiot, or not listening. This is text-book fascism- do and think as I say...( not as I do..) I live in Southern New Mexico, 30 miles from the Juarez drug wars, and was born and raised in D.C. I have a 4.2 avg in econ from Georgetown, and your arguments have been shot down time and again. I'll even wager that you still believe that "trickle-down" economics works...
As to your comment about WMDs- look at the real history- the chemical weapons were sold to Hussein in the early 1980s, during the Iran-Iraq war. It was Rumsfeld, Cheney and Wolfowitz who sold the weapons at the behest of Reagan. This is well documented, even through photos of the 4 shaking hands and smiling with Hussein. The argument was "any enemy of my enemy is my friend"...hmm, that never worked in history, why would it have worked then? Oh, and if you remember, there were no WMDs left- we were given cooked intel by the Bush admin. to justify the war they had on their radar since prior to 9/11.....I'm releived the cadre of fascists that almost ruined this great country are out of power; now if someone will get them to the Hague for a war crimes tribunal...
Jimmy Carter had several messes he inherited from Nixon/Ford administrations- wage and price controls for one- the price of gas had not been allowed to increase over a period of about 3-4 years- talk about totalitarianism- these types of issues caused inflation to artificially jump 12-18 %, when in reality it was 4 years' worth hitting. Oh, and the reason it went down shortly after Reagan took office is that Reagan's people changed the formula for figuring inflation.
